Technical SEO audit
Technical SEO audit for your whole website
Find the issues that stop search engines from crawling, understanding and indexing your pages — each one tied to the page where it was found.
What is a technical SEO audit?
A technical SEO audit checks the parts of a website that decide whether search engines can find, crawl and understand its pages: access rules, page metadata, links, canonical addresses and structured data. It doesn't judge how persuasive your writing is; it finds the technical problems underneath.
How does Geolytic crawl my site?
Geolytic reads your robots.txt and XML sitemap, then fetches your HTML pages from its servers — up to 5,000 pages per site, following internal links. It respects robots.txt rules. Pages that are blocked or couldn't be reached are counted, not hidden. Nothing needs to be installed on your site.
What does it check?
- Page titles: missing, too short, too long or duplicated across pages.
- Meta descriptions: missing, outside 50–160 characters or duplicated.
- Headings, canonical tags and indexability signals such as noindex.
- robots.txt rules and XML sitemap availability.
- Pages that return errors, fail to load or pass through redirect chains.
- schema.org structured data: present and valid.
How is the SEO score calculated?
The SEO score uses four parts, graded page by page: crawl coverage (30%), title quality (25%), meta description quality (20%) and valid structured data (25%). It is recalculated on every scan, and each part shows the evidence behind it. If no page could be read, the score shows as not measured. See the methodology for details.
How long does a scan take?
Small sites usually finish in a few minutes. Sites with thousands of pages take longer, and scans keep running in the background, so you can close the page and come back.
What happens after the audit?
You get a prioritized list of fixes, each with the affected URLs, and can download the report as a PDF. The same scan also produces a GEO audit of your AI search readiness. Plan limits are on the pricing page.
